Weekend Fun Activity: "I love you because..."
An activity for all ages, "I love you because..." is meant to encourage children and adults of all ages to express their love!
Tools Needed:
1. Paper (one sheet per person)
2. A pencil and a marker
Directions:
1. Parents go first! Write down your name on a sheet of paper.
2. With a marker write "I Love You Because..." in large print across the top of the page.
3. Write down the names of three people that you would like to say the words " I love you, because..." to.
4. Complete the sentence for each person. For example:
"I love my son, Harris, because he makes me laugh."
5. If the person on your list lives in the same household, tell them what you wrote about them. If not, pick up the phone and call them.
6. Now repeat this with a sheet of paper with your child's name on it. If they are old enough to write, they can do this themselves. If not, you can do this for them. If you are playing with a very young child, encouraging them to say "I love You" would be just enough.Have Fun!
