HOW does this work?
When our children listen to songs repeatedly, they memorize the words, and start to sing and even dance.
When they are repeatedly exposed to the alphabet, they memorize the letters, start to read and put words together and before you know it, they can write and express their thoughts.
Advancements in science have provided us with more scientific tools and measuring devices to record brain wave activity and hence monitor, with data, exactly how brains respond to input.
This research has shown that:
Our brains are plastic and are shaped by repeated experience, especially if these experiences have an emotional component.
As with the academic processes above, repeated reading and playing with TOGs will shape the way your children express their emotions, making them socially and emotionally equipped for school, teenage years, and beyond...

WHAT are Social and Emotional Learning?
"Social and Emotional Learning" (SEL) is by no means a new term.
We are just now starting to connect the dots............................
In 1995, internationally renowned Psychologist Dr. Daniel Goleman brought the concept of emotional learning into the mainstream in his best-selling book Emotional Intelligence: Why It Can Matter More Than IQ. More recently, Goleman has published Social Intelligence: The New Science of Human Relationships.
Social and Emotional Learning is a process for teaching the life skills necessary for effectively regulating ourselves and our relationships with others.
These skills include:
Recognizing, labeling and dealing with our emotions
Recognizing and understanding the emotions of others
Developing empathy, care and concern for others
Getting along with others
Being able to set goals and work towards them with optimism
