Parent TOG of the Week: The Five Love Languages of Children
Our Parent TOG pick for the week is "The Five Love Languages of Children" By Gary Chapman, Ph.D, and Ross Campbell, MD.
This book is a TOG that will introduce you to speaking your child's love language. While all of us parents know that love is the foundation of our relationship with our children, do we know which "Love Language" our child comprehends best?
Chapman and Campbell have classified "Love Languages" into the following categories:
Love Language
#1 : Physical Touch
#2 : Words of Affirmation
#3 : Quality Time
#4 : Gifts
#5 : Acts of Service
Through easy to follow techniques, these authors allow parents to discover their children's primary "Love Language." They also provide a free on-line assessment to help you speak each of the five love languages with your children at:

While Chapman holds a strong religious preference, his message is applicable across belief systems; it is profound and his techniques are very easy to follow. He is a well-known New York Times Best Selling Author, has a radio program, and travels the world presenting seminars.
